Press Releases
High resolution, real time, thermal imager for high temperature measurement.
Designed for long-term use in harsh industrial environments such as the steel and cement industries, the Thermal View 640N thermal imager provides non-contact measurement of 2D temperature distributions with high dynamic range and spatial resolution. The High Performance Thermal View 640N is used for process monitoring and control for a variety of high temperature applications.
The newly developed 640N high temperature IR-Imager with a spectral range in the near infrared (NIR) provides for a wide dynamic range by utilizing a specialized detector and signal processing. A continuous temperature measurement range from 600°C up to 1500°C (2500°C optional) is realized with an array of 640 x 480 or 300,000 temperature points with a measuring frequency of 25 frames per second . Each resulting image contains the full dynamic range and is transmitted via a Fast Ethernet interface in real time.
The 640N comes with a robust stainless steel housing and is available with an optional cooling jacket and air purge or furnace tube with wide angle lens for continuous use in furnaces, utility boilers or kilns; any industrial applications where a wall separates the “hot” process from the environment. There are no external control elements like buttons, displays etc. only two connectors on the rear side of the camera, thus allowing for easy installation. A 12 pin connector provides the connection for the power supply and the digital inputs / outputs.
Powerful online software, Thermalsoft for Windows® , allows the user to control the camera and record, view, manipulate and store the measured data.
Process Sensor Corp. offers a wide range of simple to sophisticated, non-contact infrared temperature sensors and thermal imaging systems to meet the most demanding on-line industrial process applications and OEM performance requirements.

New Line of Products introduced by Process Sensors Corporation
Process Sensors Corporation has just introduced a new line of high accuracy, precision infrared pyrometers. The Metis Series utilizes a short wavelength, which minimizes the effects of emissivity changes. These low temperature models are ideal for measuring the temperature of metals and composites. Model MP23 with a Spectral Response of 2 to 2.6µm has a temperature range of 130 to 700°C and the MP25 with a Spectral Response of 2 to 2.8µm measures temperatures from 75°C to 1300°C.
The Metis Series of infrared pyrometers are highly versatile instruments offering three solutions for aiming: see-through lens, laser and video. There is also a fixed focus version for very small spot sizes. The multifaceted MP23 and MP25 are packed with features and offer adjustable focus, digital and 4 to 20 mA analog outputs, a choice of RS232 or RS485 digital communication interfaces, and fast response.
Control features and functions, recording and storing of graphics or tables and settings can be operated by PC using the available PSCWin Software or automatically by digital commands. Some of the available accessories for the Metis Series include a swivel base mount, water-cooling and air purge, air purge, and mounting bracket.

Introducing the New Sirius Series of Self-Contained, Easy-to-Install Infrared Pyrometers
To meet the growing demand for small and easy-to-install sensors, Process Sensors Corporation introduces the Sirius Series. This new line of laser-aiming, precise, highly accurate, stainless steel infrared pyrometers measures in the mid-to-high temperature range down to 482°F.
The Sirius Series utilize a short wavelength which minimizes the effects due to emissivity changes. They feature fast response ( 5ms), adjustable focus and high resolution field of view; providing small spot sizes. The Sirius SS09 with a spectral range of .67 to 1.1µm has a temperature range of 550 to 1800°C. Model SI16 with a spectral response of 1.45 to 1.8µm measures temperatures from 250 to 1800°C.
Sirius pyrometers offer 4-20 mA analog and RS232 or RS485 digital outputs. The customer can select from three versions of adjustable focus optics depending on the focus distance required. Free PSCWin Software provides setting of all pyrometer parameters and displays real time graphs
Typical applications for the Sirius Series include induction heating, steel, glass, semiconductor, heat treating, furnaces, ovens, hot material/aggregate on conveyors, vacuum melting, composites, ceramics, etc.
